You will have to study the potential action of complexes of biomolecules from plant origin and products derived from these complexes, which can subsequently be incorporated into formulations for the prevention and/or treatment of cardio-metabolic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, obesity and/or NAFLD/NASH.
Your missions will be to identify or confirm the actions of these products on specific targets (enzymes, cell receptors …) involved, among others, in the metabolism of sugars and lipids in the body, and carry out various in vitro studies, in order to confirm at first, the actions or not of these biomolecules on the interest targets and in a second time, to study, if necessary, the reaction mechanisms involved in the observed effects.
You must have basic knowledge in the fields of biochemistry and biotechnology. On the other hand, you will also have to take into account the confidentiality of the project. Should you want to invest in an interesting project within a dynamic and motivated team. Rigor, autonomy, enthusiasm, organization are qualities that you are recognized. Achieving missions involving many exchanges both internally and externally, good communication skills are required.
The internship is located in La Rochelle.
